Friends of Historic Two Saints, Inc.

The Friends of Historic Two Saints, Inc. is a nonprofit secular organization formed for the purpose of raising funds for the maintenance and ongoing restoration of the church located at 17 S Fitzhugh Street in Rochester, New York. Sometimes known as "Two Saints," the Episcopal Church of St. Luke & St. Simon Cyrene is in the heart of downtown Rochester and has seen a great deal of history since its construction in 1824.

The mission of the Friends of Historic Two Saints

The organization seeks to increase awareness of the building's existence as a cornerstone of the City Hall Historic District. The church building holds a unique place in Rochester's history as the city's oldest public building still in use. Friends of Historic Two Saints Inc. was formed solely to raise funds to save this historic downtown treasure.

Two Saints Events

Friends of Historic Two Saints, Inc. established Two Saints Events in 2018 in order to establish greater fundraising capability for the church building. Two Saints Events, under the umbrella organization  Friends of Historic Two Saints, will be responsible for renting the building space and handling details related to the use of the location as an event venue. All funds generated by Two Saints Events will be used for the restoration and maintenance of the building.

Our Vision

In collaboration with Two Saints Events, Friends of Historic Two Saints, Inc. aims to fully restore the church building within the next ten years. In addition to this goal, we aim to establish a reserve fund within this time that would be able to cover the cost of future maintenance.

Two Saints Events and
 the Episcopal Church of
St. Luke & St. Simon Cyrene are inclusive organizations
open to all.
